Family Photos
Last month we took family photos! I still can’t believe we are a family of four! Jamie Patricia Photography took our photos and you guys she is amazing! If you are in Wisconsin please look her up! I am sorry I have been so behind on blogging. We just got back from our family vacation! We decided to stay in Wisconsin and headed to the Wisconsin Dells and stayed at Aloha Beach Resort on Lake Delton. Harlow and Sutton had so much fun swimming! It is so nice to get away and solely focus on having fun. I will post our family vacation photos for you all this week!
My dress//shoes//Nick’s shirt//jeans//shoes//Harlow’s Old Navy tutu dress// sandals// Sutton’s boho romper// headband
All our hair and my makeup was done by my sister Michaela @thepriemteam
We went to a local field for the photos at sunset and they turned out great. The girls did really well with photos and didn’t have to bribe Harlow too much! My mom and sister came to keep kids occupied while Nick and I were getting photos done! Huge help! I totally recommend having others come help to ensure your photos go off without a snag! When it comes to kids you just never know what may come up! Jamie our photographer knew exactly how to create magical photos and all I told her was a summer boho feel and she made it happen! She is offering 10% of your session if you use code Sylvia10 when you book! Jamie Patricia Photography
Here are my 5 tips I have from my own personal experience on how to make your family photos go off without a hitch!
- 1. Be sure you give yourself enough time to get ready. Prepare everyone’s outfits the day before so you don’t have to rush the day of!
- 2. Bring easy snacks for kids! Nothing to messy, anything that will stain, or get stuck in their teeth. Fruit snacks, green beans, peas, banana, puffs, squeezies like these.
- 3. Don’t over match, in my opinion I like to color coordinate but too matchy can drive you crazy! Twinning your kiddos is always a cute idea though!
- 4. Have someone come with you to watch your kids or just to help things move smoothly. I had my mom and sister hold the kids while Nick and I got some alone pictures. Helped the stress level of all of us when we had someone helping.
- 5. Relax!!! Let your personalities shine through to the photos! Don’t try to be perfect in every shot, the candid ones turned out the best! Don’t try and be so posed.
