“It is not happy people who are grateful, it is grateful people who are happy”. These words resonated with me today. Now that I am a mother I read deeper into things, look to God more and more, and find strength through soul searching.

I have thought of myself as grateful and happy but being separate entities. Through God’s word I am learning more what gratitude is and what it means in someone’s life. “Gratitude can be life changing”. Being thankful and expressing the act of thankfulness can help you to ‘trend’ or move in the right direction, toward God. As Harlo and our new little babe’s mom I want to be role-model of expressing gratitude because they look to me to know what to do. As a parent I am my children’s inspiration and influence. Those are some big shoes to fill 😉

Being Mother’s Day weekend I want to share my gratitude for all my mama friends, my sister who is becoming a mommy and especially my own devoted mother. Every mother is special and I give credit and love to all my mama’s out there. What us moms do every day can’t be put into words or a paycheck 😉 but a special adventure we experience unlike any other. If you are a mama you understand, if you are going to be one you will understand. Every day I praise God for the blessing He has bestowed upon me of being Harlo and this new little one’s mommy! My mother has taught me everything I know about motherhood and still is teaching me. The special bond we share is unbreakable. I just want her to know that she pushes me everyday to be a better person and there is no one else like her. She is devoted, selfless, patient, generous, honest, fair, a phenomenal listener and most important my hero. From the bottom of my heart mom, I thank you. I am grateful for all you have done and continue to do in my life.
