We are so excited these are the first days of summer! Hot weather, sunshine, and splashing in the pool! Doesn’t get any better than this <3 Harlo’s swim diapers are the cutest! We absolutely LOVE the Honest Company they have really grown as a company since when we started ordering from them! They have so many great chemical free products that fit our chemical free lifestyle:) Our inflatable pool we purchased at Walmart for $13 and it has seriously been the best $13 we have spent in a long time 🙂

This weekend we celebrated in pinks, frills, ruffles, and lots of love. Saturday was my sister’s baby shower and it was a beautiful day to celebrate a new life coming into this world! My sister absolutely glowed and is very thankful for all who came out to celebrate with her. Being pregnant with my sister has been a true blessing! I am sure when we were little we planned to have kids together but now that we are older and pregnant at the same time I think it is funny that it wasn’t planned 🙂

daddy daughter timedaddy daughter kisseshigh five daddyFather’s Day is just around the corner and it has come so fast. We have just had baby on the brain lately! I have the hardest time picking out gifts for the men in my life. Who else has that problem? There are lots of ‘manly’ gifts out there but my hubby never tells me things or hints around at things like I do. My dad is also a super hard one to buy for. I like to put it like I want to get everyone the BEST gift and then it turns into a last minute gift 😉 Well this year I asked Nick to pick out his fashion favorites and some other random gift ideas because my mommy brain is on overload! He doesn’t know fashion all that well so I helped a little 😉 The majority of the time my hubby loves getting gifted tools. Most of the picks if you order by 3pm June 10th (today) your gift will arrive by Father’s Day!

Over the Weekend

by jennaeostrowski on / Family

grocery girlAnother weekend has come and gone. We started our Saturday morning with a trip to the grocery store! We most often shop at our local Woodman’s it has the largest variety of organic foods for our family at a good deal. This week Harlo wanted to take her baby to the store so they both sat in the cart. I see these loving moments of Harlo with her ‘baby’ and it just makes my heart so happy because she is going to be one fabulous BIG sister. Umm, yes my cart is over flowing with groceries 😉 we shop weekly and get that much! Big eaters what can I say!

Give Some Love to the Preggo Belly

Bear your belly all my preggo mama’s! I love to watch my little girl grow and yes that ultimately means my belly is stretching giving me those stretch marks and a poppin’ belly button at 24 weeks that sticks out no matter what I wear! On the flipside, I have to embrace the changes because God created me and this new little girl just for me to carry. Us women are capable of making miracles! Especially grateful that I have the ability to carry a child when there are so many women have fertility issues. So the stretch marks just come with the territory of making miracles. However, I have a cream that helps the uncomfortable stretching skin and helps to reduce the visibility of stretch marks!

I am loving prints for this spring season as we are moving into the summer! These printed palazzo pants fit the bill! Especially during pregnancy because of the comfort, ease and airiness of the pant. I feel the print and color are great for spring and through summer. I have even paired the pants with a chunky cropped sweater for fall. Dressing these pants up with a blazer provides more of a professional look. I styled my pants in a more simple bohemian style look and added a little feminine touch with my jeweled sandals and a layered necklace. I have always loved the flowy bohemian style so I LOVE that I haven’t been able to give it up because I am preggers!

We spent our Sunday at Church learning about having faith in God no matter what. Learning through God’s words and teachings are giving me a better understanding of motherhood and how I want to raise my girls. I am so blessed to have a lovely church and community. Sidenote- Sunday was very windy so trying to keep my dress down was a challenge! Very comfortable maternity dress from Asos and super affordable! It is under $20 right now 🙂

Baby Girl Bump Update

by jennaeostrowski on / Pregnancy

boho bump chic

Well.. we have hit 23 weeks already! Our little girl is the size of a papaya! How cute is that? I have some exciting news to share we decided to forego the hospital and do a home birth with a midwife this time around! I actually have no dislike of the hospital. My first birth went smoothly, we had wonderful nurses and no complications. I just have researched a little of the protocol for infants in the hospital and reading about certain things that are not necessary that I don’t have a choice in skipping has pushed me the home birth route!  This is completely new territory for me so I will be honest I am nervous. I try to act all nonchalant about it but the nerves are real! I have not had my first appointment with our midwife yet so I am not sure what to expect! How many of my mamas out there had or have a midwife or know someone who has?
