Great memories and chaos were made this weekend! Saturday we had a 5k run for love event at our church! Uhh I’m preggo and not a runner so we walked the 5k run with Harlo in the stroller! My family joined so we had a large group and the weather was absolutely perfect! It is incredible to walk for a good cause! This run was to help support those who are traveling to Nicaragua this year to build a relationship with our church’s partners in La Esmeralda. The missionaries will hold VBS events in the community schools and also provides hygiene packs to the people of La Esmeralda. The hygiene packs are literally our everyday items that I take for granted daily.

Being pregnant I thought my romper days were over! This fun patterned romper was such a steal at Target and fits my growing belly! Note this is not a maternity romper. I found this in the Junior’s section. There is elastic around the waist to help fit my belly. Rompers scream spring is hear and summer is in the air. This specific romper adds an extra girly flare with the ruffle edge on the leg. Bonus about this romper is it is under $30.. whaaat? A steal!
Embracing My Mommy Imperfections
I love how my fabulous hubby caught our little girl looking up at me. When doing the day to day “mommying” I miss these great ‘MOMents’ that show me what being a mom is all about. This is the epitomy of motherhood. Harlo will always be looking up to me and always wanting to do what Mommy does. Sometimes the actions are good and sometimes not so good but it is okay. I will never be perfect but I am doing the best job I can. There are so many comparisons in motherhood that it clouds what truly matters. My little girl isn’t looking at other moms she is looking at me, and what I am doing in her life. Now that I have another little girl on the way it is making me dwelve even deeper into how my actions and thoughts affect my girls.

My spectacular Mother’s Day weekend began with finding out the gender of our sweet little babe. We are blessed to be having a healthy baby GIRL!!!! A healthy baby is the ultimate goal for any parent and finding out we are having another little girl is just the icing on the cake. I am one mama who needs to know gender to give more of a personal touch on the pregnancy! I am now able to call her little cupcake, sweet girl, baby girl and so many more obnoxiously adorable names.

I am going to be honest and say I am new at blogging and will get into more of a routine posting. Hang in there and I appreciate that you are taking time to read my random thoughts! Well here in Southeastern Wisconsin we have a crazy spring! It is cool and rainy and wearing my Hunter boots on the daily is a must lately. They are so unbelievably comfy especially during my pregnancy but very practical for our rainy weather!
Love for the First Trimester?
Yes everyone can love their first trimester of pregnancy! In all different ways. I am not saying my way works for everyone! I am simply sharing what worked for me and hopefully can help others! I grew to LOVE my first 14 weeks of pregnancy because I prayed and looked to God but also used my heaven sent oils! My first pregnancy I was graced with no idea what morning sickness was! I felt great and just over the moon about being pregnant. This second pregnancy even with my excitement I came down with the so-called ‘dreaded’ morning sickness.
Getting Started with Oils
Essential oils are a topic that are widely talked about in health circles but also looked upon as a hippy trend or fad. I had no prior knowledge on essential oils other than you can use them for unscented natural laundry. I went to a health food store and bought Eucalyptus, Lavender and Tea Tree. My goal for my family is to reduce the amount of toxins in our household.

My name is not Sylvia it is Jenna Ostrowski and this blog is my interpretation of style, motherhood, and my low key family life. I started my blog April 2015, while pregnant with my second child. Sylvia Jade is my outlet to express my passion for fashion as well as share my love of motherhood. My blog used to be called ThatMamaLove but I decided to change it after my mom mentioned that my blog wasn’t mom focused and I should have a more personal name. Enter Sylvia Jade. It couldn’t encompass me more. My mom is my best friend and she has helped and supported me so much to help make me the woman I am today! My grandma’s name is Sylvia and mom’s initials make the name Jade. My grandma was a second mom to me. I grew up living next to her and we were just very close. She passed away 6 years ago. My tribute to her is this blog and my sweet little Sutton Sylvia. I named my first born Harlow Jade. My story of how I came to the name Sylvia Jade was born! I tried so many different names like, Jade Sylvia; Sylvie Jade; but my mom told me Sylvia Jade was the perfect name to help bring my readers a more personal feel to my blog. 
I love FASHION, coffee, trashy t.v , and life! I have dance parties and am a little crazy. I love all things love and some call me a modern day hippy. I am so happy to have started this blog to share what I love with all of you! I reside near Milwaukee with my 5 year old daughter Harlow and 3 year old Sutton. Motherhood changed me in so many ways! My girls have pushed me and challenged me in so many ways and have made me stronger than I have ever thought possible.
