Well.. we have hit 23 weeks already! Our little girl is the size of a papaya! How cute is that? I have some exciting news to share we decided to forego the hospital and do a home birth with a midwife this time around! I actually have no dislike of the hospital. My first birth went smoothly, we had wonderful nurses and no complications. I just have researched a little of the protocol for infants in the hospital and reading about certain things that are not necessary that I don’t have a choice in skipping has pushed me the home birth route!  This is completely new territory for me so I will be honest I am nervous. I try to act all nonchalant about it but the nerves are real! I have not had my first appointment with our midwife yet so I am not sure what to expect! How many of my mamas out there had or have a midwife or know someone who has?

I am going to be honest and say I am new at blogging and will get into more of a routine posting. Hang in there and I appreciate that you are taking time to read my random thoughts! Well here in Southeastern Wisconsin we have a crazy spring! It is cool and rainy and wearing my Hunter boots on the daily is a must lately. They are so unbelievably comfy especially during my pregnancy but very practical for our rainy weather!

Yes everyone can love their first trimester of pregnancy! In all different ways. I am not saying my way works for everyone! I am simply sharing what worked for me and hopefully can help others! I grew to LOVE my first 14 weeks of pregnancy because I prayed and looked to God but also used my heaven sent oils! My first pregnancy I was graced with no idea what morning sickness was! I felt great and just over the moon about being pregnant. This second pregnancy even with my excitement I came down with the so-called ‘dreaded’ morning sickness.

Finding out we were pregnant again came as a HUGE shock! Okay well we know how babies happen but I didn’t even miss my period when I took my pregnancy test. I initially only took the test to humor my husband because he couldn’t wait for me to get pregnant again. I am always the hesitant, over-thinker. Anyone else like that?

Here in my first post  I am super excited to introduce myself as Jenna Ostrowski, wife to Nick Ostrowski and mama to Harlo and a little one on the way! We can’t wait to find out what we are having! I am truly blessed to have this little family! I have always wanted a blog but didn’t quite know how others would look at it. Truth? I am NOT the greatest writer  but I have A LOT of thoughts and LOTS to share about my life as a mommy! I decided to forget any naysayers and any doubts and begin my blogging journey. So if you don’t like how I write I will be okay 😉
