We spent our Sunday at Church learning about having faith in God no matter what. Learning through God’s words and teachings are giving me a better understanding of motherhood and how I want to raise my girls. I am so blessed to have a lovely church and community. Sidenote- Sunday was very windy so trying to keep my dress down was a challenge! Very comfortable maternity dress from Asos and super affordable! It is under $20 right now 🙂

We celebrated Nick’s 30th birthday with dinner at P.F Chang’s China Bistro. Great company and yummy food, for dessert I surprised my man with a ‘plumber butt’ cake! The time and effort that went into this cake was outstanding! If near Milwaukee, Wisconsin you will have to check out Sally’s Sweet Shoppe! They are a one of a kind bakery that always has delicious sweet treats and create cake masterpieces!

We hit a major milestone this weekend with Harlo! We came home from a barbecue with friends/family and I went to the bathroom and Harlo came in with me and said, “mama potty” .  She sat down in her ‘my size potty’ from Summer Infant, I finished going and I told her I would be right back in. I had to get some wipes to wipe her from her diaper she had on not thinking she would go. I come in and she says, ” mama pee”. I thought she was pretending like she normally does so I said okay you can flush it! When I looked down at the potty I was shocked to see there was pee in the potty!!!!!!! This was Harlo’s first time peeing on the potty all by herself!! My little girl is growing up ahhhh #staylittleforever   We celebrated with lots of hugs, kisses, and pictures and of course a call to grammy to tell her the big news! We aren’t potty training her but we are letting Harlo lead in that area because I don’t want to force potty training on her in fear she will never want to go on again!

Memorial Day was full of yard work, sun and relaxing! We went to the local flower farm to complete some landscaping in our yard. Nick is big on landscaping and making our yard look amazing! I honestly just direct him as to where to plant the flowers and trees! I got the easy job!

Harlo and I were playing in the yard while daddy worked on putting in a few plant islands in the yard. Daddy was so HOT while working he wanted to cool off so I asked Harlo if she wanted to dump some water on his head. The idea sounded good to her but she ended up not wanting to put water on him so I did it for her! Aww it was cute when I told her to put the water on daddy and she was like “noooo mama” and handed the bowl to me!

We cherished this long weekend and hope you all did too!
