Yesterday was our 4 year wedding anniversary! Seems like just yesterday I was a giddy bride walking down to marry the man of my dreams. Ever since I was a little girl I dreamed of walking down the aisle, white dress and everyone watching as I got the wedding ring placed on my finger. These are the moments that get us teary eyed and wanting to go back to that special day.

I am going to be real with y’all though I love Nick more than words- but a marriage is HARD work! I never dreamed of everything we have gone through in the last 4 years. As I child it was… and they lived happily ever after. Well in a way we are living that but a reality version. Marriage takes communication, honesty, and support. Sometimes these three aspects are difficult to maintain. We don’t always do what is best for one another but we know what it takes to make our own marriage work and that is what counts! There is just some derailing but who doesn’t have that in a marriage???? No one is happy with each other every second.  Nick and I are each other’s best friends and we make each other laugh and smile. That is the foundation to our marriage so we always have that to support and get us through the difficult times. He is a wonderful father to our little girl. I am very blessed to have a man who is so devoted to take care of us.

Aww Nick came home with flowers and a beautifully written card when he came home from work!flowers from my man

For our anniversary my main squeeze took me out to dinner to Cafe Benelux downtown 🙂 <3  A big thank you to my fabulous mother and little sister who watched Harlo. We enjoyed our very long over due date night and actually chatted over our meals 😉 We celebrated all the good times as well as getting through the rough times over the 4 years. I love reflecting and seeing how we both grow in ourselves as well as a couple!4 year anniversary
